Privacy Policy

Astra Innovations LLC ("Astra", "we", "us") is a software company in Florida. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It covers:

• this website, astra-innovations.com, and
• apps that link to this policy, currently Heal Buddy (iOS, Android and heal-buddy.com).

Some of our products have their own privacy policy (for example, Recipe Wizard at recipe-wizard.com/privacy). Where a product has its own policy, that policy applies to it instead of this one.

#Summary

• We collect what we need to run the service: your account details, your subscription status and what you do in the app.
• We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
• Payments are handled by Apple, Google or Stripe. We never see your full card number.
• Some features send the text you enter to AI providers to create content for you (see "AI features").
• You can delete your account in the app at any time.

#Information we collect

#On this website

• Contact form: your name, email address, and what you tell us about your project. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss the work.
• Technical data: our servers briefly process your IP address to deliver the site and to block spam (for example, limiting how many messages one address can send). We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.

#In Heal Buddy

• Account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address that service shares with us. With Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we receive a private relay address.
• Profile: a display name and an optional profile photo.
• Subscription: whether you have an active subscription or free trial, its source (Apple, Google or Stripe), its renewal or expiry date and the identifiers those services give us. For web purchases, Stripe gives us a customer ID and subscription ID. We don't receive or store card or bank numbers.
• App activity: the meditations, sounds and stories you play, like or save, your playlists and compositions, and usage statistics such as sessions completed. We use these to show your library and progress.
• Stories you create: the title and description you enter when you ask the app to create a bedtime story, plus the story text and audio we generate.
• Email preferences: whether you've opted in to news emails, and whether your email address is confirmed.
• Support messages: anything you send us by email.

Heal Buddy doesn't access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or Apple Health data.

#How we use it

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
• To provide the app's features, including your library, playlists, progress and generated stories.
• To process subscriptions and free trials, and to give you access to what you've paid for.
• To send service emails (account confirmation, password reset, receipts or important changes) and, only if you've opted in, news emails. You can unsubscribe from news emails at any time.
• To keep the service safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
• To meet legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, in the EU or UK), we rely on: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving a secure service, your consent (for news emails, which you can withdraw), and legal obligations.

#AI features

When you ask Heal Buddy to create a bedtime story, the title and description you enter are sent to OpenAI, which writes the story text. That text is then sent to ElevenLabs, which turns it into audio. We store the resulting story and audio with your account so you can play it again. These providers process the content on our behalf to provide the feature. Please don't enter sensitive personal information into story prompts. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or unexpected.

#Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our products, and only as much as they need:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others. If Astra is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

#Heal Buddy website

heal-buddy.com uses Google Analytics to understand visits and sign-ups, and a clickrank.ai script to monitor search performance. These tools may set cookies and collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages viewed. You can block them with your browser settings or an analytics opt-out add-on.

#How long we keep it

• Account data: for as long as your account is open.
• When you delete your account: we cancel any active web subscription at the end of its paid period, and we anonymise your account (your email and name are replaced and your sign-in is removed). Some records may remain in anonymised form, or where the law requires us to keep them (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
• Contact-form messages: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project.
• Backups: these roll over and are deleted on a regular schedule.

#Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and private storage for media, and access to personal data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

#Children

Heal Buddy is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

#Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you,
• correct it,
• delete it,
• get a copy in a portable format, and
• object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent.

California residents: you have the right to know, delete and correct your information, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

EU/UK residents: you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, delete your account in the app or email us at support@astra-innovations.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

#International transfers

We're based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EU/UK.

#Changes

We'll update this policy when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
